What to expect when attending Angie's online Tai Chi ClassesThe class's are held in the Arts Workshops Gallery surrounded with art in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The workshops are small with up to 10 people costing £5.00 per class. Each class is 1.5 hours long with plenty of chairs to sit out at any time to observe and digest what you have been shown or just to relax and enjoy watching the other students.
How to dress for a Tai Chi ClassAll you need is comfortable flat shoes and loose layered clothing with no belts.
What we study during a weekly classEach class begins with with a formal salutation.

Weekly ActivityEach session we have a warm up where we do regular exercises to soften and relax the muscles gently extending them.
We study the 13 stances used in the Lee style T'ai Chi.
We practice sets from the 140 movements of the Lee style T’ai Chi Ch’uan hand form.
Dao Yin Secret Island Chinese Yoga.
Kai Men Open Door Breathing Exercises.
I Fu Shou (sticky hands).
Understanding to connect with our Chi and Li energy.
Mindfulness, finding ourselves so we can understand balance to stay centered and upright, relaxing and learning to let go so we can be sensitive to our movements, coordinating and harmonizing with our breathing creating a continues strong dynamic circle within ourselves so we know when to extend and when to recall our energy.
The classes are run so each student works at there own level developing there knowledge and understanding of T'ai Chi from one week to the next, there are plenty of chairs for you to sit out and watch, or absorb what you have been shown.
