The vessel cannot be filled until it is empty. Make sure you pay attention to the out breath just as much as the in breath.
The type of breathing we do during T’ai Chi is called diaphrgamatic, abdominal, deep or belly breathing, we breathe in through the nose completely filling up the lungs pushing the diaphragm down and letting the abdomen expand out and then breath out through the mouth letting the abdomen pull in completely letting the diaphragm raise back up emptying the lungs.
