In the Lee Style of Tai Chi we have stretching exercises called Kai Men.
Kai men are exercises to open the body, mind and spirit. It stands for "Open Door" or Chinese Yoga.
You just have to open the door and step inside.
Kai Men exercises all start with a stance, like the Tai Chi stances but which can be in a standing sitting or lying down position, this is the physical side of Kai Men. Then we have the mental side of Kai Men making sure we place the hands and feet in the correct positions when moving the body. Which in turn takes us to the energy part of Kai Men using the breath to direct our chi energy in the body and lastly the spirit of Kai Men opening up the body and mind so what we practice on one side we practice on the opposite side completing the cycle of the exercise.
